Use this command to print the currently displayed difference listing.
The print dialog shows the current printer font and lets you choose between portrait and landscape format. The … button selects the printer font (fixed-pitch fonts only, so the columns stay aligned); Printer… opens the printer setup for paper and orientation defaults.
Print then opens the standard Windows print dialog, where you pick the target printer, a page range and the number of copies. The printer you selected under Printer… is already chosen there. A progress dialog shows the page being printed; Cancel stops printing and discards the print job.
Copies are the printer driver's business. Diffoniq sends the job once and asks the driver for the number of copies you set. Drivers that write to a file — Microsoft Print to PDF and most PDF writers — cannot produce more than one copy, so the field is either greyed out or has no effect there. On a printer that puts ink on paper it works as expected.
Every page carries the compared file names in its header and the page number (“Page 2 of 10”) with the print date in its footer — an evaluation copy adds “Diffoniq 2.0 evaluation version · diffoniq.com” there; the print job appears in the printer queue under the compared file names. The comparison colors are printed as shown on screen — unless a dark color scheme is active, in which case the pages fall back to the standard colors on a white background.
